Maybe it’s just me, but I never understood the fascination of Connect 4 (gasp!).
Perhaps like Stephen King’s IT and the Taco Bell Gordita, this classic game was too overhyped by the time I tried it.
Is it that hard for either player to see-thru the strategy of the other? Really?
However, the new CONNECT 4 LAUNCHERS has transformed this iconic brand from a simple strategy game into a fast-paced frenetic action game!
The overall objective is still the same, the player who gets 4-in-a-row wins.
But there’s a few new twists that will get your heart pounding with excitement…including a launcher and a dual-level playing board!
Each player uses his launcher to aim and send their checkers flying in the air, in hopes of landing on the board in the right slots.
Think Connect 4 meets a timed carnival “ring toss” game!
There are 3 games you can play, from simple to more advanced.
At its most basic gameplay, all you have to do is launch your checkers at either tray…the first one to get 4 in a row wins!
More advanced gameplay involves earning more points for landing on the top versus the bottom level and using “special” power checkers.
What I love most about this game is that it’s perfect for all types of players and skill sets.
Instead of a simple strategy game, the new Connect 4 Launchers requires hand-eye coordination, mental strategery, and a bit of old fashioned luck!
Also, the directions are simple yet kids will have fun making their own “house” rules (i.e. longer distances from the board = more points).
Re-invented sequels are rarely better than the original, but I’d DEFINITELY make an exception with Connect 4 Launchers…ahh, hopefully I haven’t over-hyped it for you!
